An afternoon on Aquidneck

The new year brought with it pleasant weather, so we took advantage.  We tried to make it to Sachuest Point, but it turns out our book's directions were missing a step, so we ended up at Sandy Point instead.

On the beach, Madeline tasted a gold-colored jingle shell.

But she favored the inside of a whelk.

We managed a decent family picture.

And Madeline got a chance to stretch her legs before we moved on.

After Sandy Point, we wandered a bit and found ourselves at Greenvale Vineyards.  We visited the vineyard's resident Scottish Highland cattle, MacIntosh and Burberry.

Madeline thought they were pretty neat.

And our visit to the cattle wasn't one-sided: one of the beasties came over to visit us,too!

Back at home, Madeline had a fine meal of wooden spoon.

Then came bed time ... and bed time 2 ... and 3 ... and 4.  Adjusting from west coast to east coast time can be tricky.
