Madeline, Summer, and uncle had an apparently uneventful morning while I put in some time at work. From pictures, I deduce that Madeline had some modified tummy time ...

... that she continued bonding with uncle ...

... and that she even went so far as to try eating his nose.

I left work early hoping to beat the rain, which I did -- but not by much. We had to wait for the storm to pass before getting out for a walk. With the skies looking not-entirely-friendly, we opted for stroller over wrap. Madeline watched us through her window.

By the end of the walk, the world was still wet but the skies were clear. Everything looked lush and green.

We let Madeline enjoy the fresh air for a few extra minutes on the front-porch-that-needs-repainting-and-apparently-will-soon-receive-it.

Back inside, Madeline happily gnawed on her hand.

She also appreciated more modified tummy time.

But again at bedtime she fought sleep. As she finally drifted off, she seemed unconsciously to chew on her bottom lip: it looks like she's indeed teething in earnest.
Tomorrow uncle takes off, and Madeline will again be left with just us parents.
