Madeline was sent home sick again this afternoon. When I mentioned the offending symptom on my way out of the office, my coworkers exclaimed in unison, "That's probably just teething!" But I did not begrudge the extra couple hours with my perfectly well-seeming sproutling.

We played happily in baby jail for an hour, spent another hour alternating among teething pain, playing, and eating, and then looked out the window for a while until Summer came home to join us. Madeline was happy to see her mama.

No more symptoms occurred, nor did anything else of note. Dinner, bed, the end.
