Then we went on a home-goods-purchase-preview spree, after which, to thank Madeline for her patience, we took her to the Humboldt Ave. playground.
We had dim sum for dinner with Julia and then proceeded to Providence for Madeline's first Waterfire!
We parked by RISD's new scenic overlook.
Then we went down the hill, where Madeline was so enthralled at these giant fish that she couldn't help but dance.
She also found these lights enticing.
And, around 7:20, the music kicked in. Now Madeline really had to dance!
Finally, around 8, the fires were lit.
Madeline announced, "I'm sleepy!" So we went home.
