Babykins was happy this morning after her busy weekend. We're trying to establish a morning routine -- Madeline's been pushing her bedtime earlier and earlier (she was asleep by 7:30 tonight), and this impacts our sleep on both ends. But it turned out that we had time enough for some fun, too:
When I dropped her off at daycare she was still all smiles.
After work, Summer set up the bouncer that HeiĆ°a and Bjorn borrowed from a professor in the department and passed on to us this weekend. Madeline was in heaven!
She especially loved gnawing on this clear plastic ball attachment.
But her interest in everything else goes out the window when Petey's nearby. This afternoon she pushed and strained against the bouncer to try to get closer to him, smiling and cooing all the time.
We brought him over to say hello, but Madeline's enthusiasm can be a little off-putting and he ran off. Maybe tomorrow she'll get a good pat in.
Oh, I love these pictures. The expression on her face in the bouncer will not be equalled until she is sitting in "her" car in years that will come sooner than you expect. I hope Petey is as gentle and forgiving as Chloe was when Max was a baby/toddler. You had a great fondness for cats too and, as you have been told many times, one of PP's favorite memories is of you carrying her, her head dragging on the floor, exclaiming how nice the kitty was. That actually saved her life in the household.
ReplyDeleteHow long does Madeline get to use this bouncer? What a great invention.
