Madeline was super-happy today!
Maybe this was because we dialed back on the comings and goings, instead staying inside to avoid the heat and humidity.
But, except for some nap-resistance, all day Madeline was all smiles and energy.She decided she was very interested in a banana peel. A sign of solid foods to come, or just an interesting toy on the table?
She had great fun playing sky baby ...
... and just as great fun bouncing in her bouncer ...
... and just as great fun attacking my head with some serious gusto -- she made noises like some sort of wild beast rending its prey.
We did take a quick trip outside to water the plants. Sadly, something (bunnies, we think) has been eating our greens and zucchini. One glorious tomato and some tiny baby peppers are doing well, though. For her part, Madeline was even more mesmerized than usual by the outside world.
She found that the outside world to her right was just as captivating as the outside world to her left.
But there is nothing quite as interesting as my hat strap.
After another grandparental Skype, Madeline happily bounced some more.
That was that. Smiles, energy, smiles. And now sleep.
