Fairly typical

Today was fairly typical: morning exercise (today with dramatic lighting!) ...

... a good day at daycare, followed by a nap at home ...

... and some playing (sky baby!).

We did, however, vary the routine a bit by going out for BBQ at LJ's (the site of Madeline's first dinner out, back in April). Today, Madeline was oddly shy, and she rebuffed the attentions of our doting wait staff -- even their attempts to woo her with a stuffed pig. She was also noisy for the first time in our dining-out history, hopefully not a sign that our restaurant-going window is closing.

But all was well when we gave her a pickle slice to gum. She loved it!

And when dinner was over, it was home and to bed with her.
