Madeline seems to be going through a transition period. She wakes up at intervals throughout the night to eat; she woke up early again this morning, happily babbling; she's full of energy and demands lots of attention. She continues to crawl backwards, and ended up entirely on the wood floor after this picture was taken:

And she's loving the keyboard probably even more than any of her toys right now -- she bangs away with great pizzazz.

It's fun having Madeline at the dinner table now that she can sit up easily -- though perhaps more fun for me, sitting across from her, than for Summer, whose close proximity makes her hair a ready target.
