Today Madeline's great joy was eating. (She takes after her parents.) Before breakfast, she gnawed on her dinosaur toy.
She took a break from chewing to chase Petey; unfortunately (for her, not Petey) she still can't crawl yet.
Summer spent much of the day preparing for her thesis talk and defense, but took a break this afternoon so we could enjoy a walk and enjoy the pleasant weather. We took a roundabout route to Wayland Square (including a stop by my beloved Myopic Books) and then back home.
Soon enough there was more eating to be done. Madeline munched a few green beans, each of which ended up on the floor, before encountering a raviolo. She giddily squeezed out the filling before moving onto the doughy part:
She is a real member of the family! What fun to watch her taste things...remember the pea?! I totally agree about pasta. I have memories of your Dad and aunties grinding Zweibach into the mat of the playpen and their shoes and themselves...what a mess to clean up. It looks so much easier to deal with the way you young parents do it now. Such fun watching her hair come in of late...don't notice any curls but it looks like it will be nice and thick eventually...xo N
ReplyDeleteps....I like the look on Petey's face...it is "I don't think you'ld better come this way".. or, "oh, no" how much longer am I safe?"
