Uncle, aunt, ATTENTION!

This morning Madeline woke up full of smiles and energy!

It seems she was so excited about her big day that she exhausted herself; she was asleep by the time we got to the airport.

Uncle and aunt arrived safe and secure, and Madeline opened her eyes enough on the ride home to look quizzically at these new arrivals -- who are you folks?

She was able to get a closer look for a proper appraisal in short order.

The grandparents had arrived at home, too, so Madeline had a lot to smile about.

The theme of the day was attention! Madeline spent hers on all the interesting people and things going on around her, and we all spent plenty on her, too. The following is a representative tableau.

But relatively early by all our standards, everyone was tired. The grandparents headed out for the evening, Madeline fussed and fed, and uncle and aunt claimed their room for the night. Now: bed.
