On to today, which featured two significant events. First, we went to the Lippitt Park playground and the farmers market ("Market!").
We have lots of CSA money to spend before the outdoor markets end in two weeks, so we got a full bag ...
... including a pumpkin doughnut to share. Yum.
The second major event was Jeff & Carissa's 30th Birthday Jubilee. Friends came from as far as Minnesota and New Jersey to engage in revelry. Madeline drank her first soda (accidentally, as it was clear and we thought it was water) and ate a carrot-cupcake. Hopefully there will be photobooth pictures to share soon, but for now you'll have to live with just this picture of Madeline with a star on her nose:
Madeline fell asleep on the heavily-rained-upon drive home, and she finally seems to be reaching the stage where she can transition from car to crib with minimal waking. She woke up just enough to intone sleepily, "Bed."
