Pumpkins

This morning, Madeline helped me make scrambled eggs and toast.

Then we played with her zoo and house until ...

... Mark and Sam arrived.  Madeline was a little jealous when Sam played with her toys.  But she still said she was happy to play with baby Sam.

After the visit, Madeline napped in the car while we drove to Barden Family Orchard to check out their pumpkin selection.  Last year, we went on October 1st and there were many pumpkins in the pumpkin patch!  This year, we went on October 21st and there were not.  Madeline sampled the wares in the field and decided a return to the pre-picked pumpkins was in order.

There were so many pumpkins, Madeline couldn't choose.

But finally she found one that was just right.

And now it's adorning our front step (along with mine and Summer's)!
